Drone Policy
We know an aerial shot can look incredible but to keep every guest safe and every celebration private, drones are not permitted to take off from, land on or fly over our grounds without prior written approval from Claribeaux Management.
Why we have this policy
Our venues host weddings, functions and everyday guests, often at the same time. Drones flying over people create real safety risks, and many guests simply don't want to be filmed from above. Our policy helps protect everyone's privacy and enjoyment.
Booking a professional drone operator
If you'd like aerial photography or video at your event, we're happy to consider it. Your operator will need to:
- Request approval from Claribeaux Management at least 14 days before your event
- Hold a current CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) or operate within CASA's accredited rules
- Provide a certificate of public liability insurance
- Follow all Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, including not flying over people
- Follow any directions from our staff on the day
On the day
Approval can be withdrawn at any time for safety, weather, privacy or operational reasons. Drones flown without approval will be asked to land immediately.
